Use cases

One research engine. Different kinds of brand.

Doomscroll is an AI content strategist for short-form video. It maps the audiences a brand could reach, researches the public TikTok and Instagram videos those audiences already watch, explains the creative choices it can observe, and writes original scripts ready to film. These pages show what that looks like for a few common situations.

The research is the same underneath. What changes is the audience, the proof a brand can honestly show, and the formats worth testing first.

Research my brand

Most content tools start at the wrong end.

They begin with a blank document or a template and ask you to supply the idea. The hard part is not the writing. It is knowing which format is worth your one shot this week, and being able to explain why afterwards. That question has a different answer for a skincare store than for a developer tool.

What Doomscroll looks for

What stays the same across every use case

Real references

Public videos your audience already watches, with the visible performance kept separate from the creative reasoning.

Observable reasoning

What can actually be seen in a video — the hook, pacing, proof and shot changes — rather than invented explanations of why it won.

Original scripts

The structural mechanic is kept; the subject, wording and proof are rebuilt around what your brand can truthfully say.

How it works

The same four steps, whatever you sell

01

Read the brand

Start from a website or a short description and confirm the direction before research begins.

02

Map the audiences

Identify the distinct groups the brand could reach, rather than assuming one generic customer.

03

Research and inspect

Find public videos those audiences watch and tag the choices visible inside them.

04

Write the script

Produce an original script with the source and the reasoning attached.

Answers

Common questions

Does Doomscroll make the video for me?

No. It researches references, explains the creative choices it can observe, and writes the script, shot list and editing notes. Filming or generating the video happens wherever you already do that, with whichever creator or tool you prefer.

Is the research different for each kind of brand?

The engine is the same; the inputs differ. A store, a software product and an agency client each have different audiences, different provable claims and different formats that suit them, so the audiences mapped and references selected differ accordingly.

Do I need a TikTok or Instagram account to start?

No. Doomscroll never asks for a social password, never copies session cookies and never posts on your behalf. Research runs server-side against public content, so a brand website or a short description is enough to begin.

What do I actually receive at the end?

A committed hook, the word-for-word lines, an opening visual, a shot list, editing notes and a call to action — plus the source video it was adapted from and the reasoning for what was borrowed, so the choice can be checked.

Pick the page closest to your situation.

Each of these covers the same pipeline from a different starting point: UGC-style content, e-commerce products, agency client work, and software. If none fits exactly, the homepage covers the general case and the research works the same way.
